Contract Redrafting Service for Business

Service Type

A contract editing and redrafting service for executives in the UK  and  overseas lawyers.

Target Market:

Where  a contract has  been drafted by a Business executive or overseas lawyer, it  will often need to be proofed, edited, restructured and redrafted with the help of a UK qualified lawyer.

By means of this service a contract can be brought from the level of an initial draft to that of a good final draft.

Aims & Means:

This would be achieved in  tandem with the client by way of a face to face consultation or virtual interaction. In this way, the client can express their concerns and wishes regarding the content  of the contract. Unclear clauses can be redrafted in line with modern drafting principles to better express the client's wishes;  void or ineffective clauses deleted and new clauses added where required.

The meaning  of key contractual terms, the purpose of common clauses and  the use of standard contractual phraseology would also be explained where relevant.

Finally,  the whole document can be proofed and edited to produce a "best practice" draft.

Legal Advice

It should be noted that this service does not constitute definitive advice regarding the  possible legal effect of contract provisions. Such advice should, ultimately, be sought from a lawyer practising in the relevant jurisdiction.

However, by producing a clear final draft, the amount of  time and money spent obtaining outside legal advice should be reduced for the client.
